- Lentil 115gms
- Carrots 55gms
- Turnip 30gms
- Onion 30gms
- Celery 15gms
- Stock 880ml
- Milk 150ml
- Butter 30gms
- Refined flour 30gms
- Pepper to taste
- Salt to taste
- Bread 30gms
- Fat to fry as per requirement
- Wash lentils and put in a pan with stock.
- Add sliced onion and celery and shredded carrot and turnips.
- Add seasoning and boil gently until lentils and vegetables are tender (Approximately an hour).
- Rub through a sieve.
- Melt fat, add flour. Blend well, add milk gradually to form a smooth sauce.
- Add soup. Mix well. Bring to boiling point, stirring all the time. Boil for about 3minutes.
- Serve hot with fried croutons.
