- Tomatoes 350gms
- Carrots 115gms
- Turnips 30gms
- Onions 30gms
- Butter 30gms
- Refined flour 30gms
- Milk 300ml
- Stock 750ml
- Pepper a pinch
- Salt to taste
Method of preparation
- Clean and cut tomatoes. Chop onions, carrots and turnips.
- Cover wirh stock or water. Add seasoning and cook till vegetables are tender.
- Put through a sieve to make a puree.
- Prepare white sauce with milk, butter and flour.
- Add puree gradually to the sauce.
- Add more seasoning if required and serve hot with fried croutons or chopped parsley.
